About ME
Lyeneal Griffin (he/him) is a Mississippi-born actor, director, and educator whose work lives at the intersection of artistry, community, and transformation. With a BFA in Theatre Performance from The University of Southern Mississippi and an MFA in Acting from Regent University, Lyeneal brings a grounded, expressive, and collaborative spirit to every stage he steps on.
Lyeneal has worked regionally with companies including Virginia Stage Company, The REV, Harrisburg Shakespeare, Gamut Theatre Group, and Roxy Regional Theatre. His performances have traveled internationally to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and his directing work—ranging from the comedic chaos of The Play That Goes Wrong to the searing and dramatic Pretty Fire by Charlayne Woodard. He aspires to create work that resonates for diverse audiences.
A passionate teacher and mentor, Lyeneal is committed to creating space for the next generation of storytellers to explore their voice, power, and purpose through theatre. Whether in rehearsal rooms, classrooms, or on stage, his work is fueled by a deep belief in theatre as a catalyst for connection, reflection, and joy.
“My students have been my most influential teachers, and I intend to have a long career in educating future professionals, who will become future colleagues and change-makers in whatever path they pursue.”
